Stockport based Fairhurst Buckley has kicked off its first sponsorship season with Stockport County Community Trust by supporting the Parkinson Wellbeing Programme for the next 12 months.
The Community Trust’s Parkinson’s Wellbeing Programme provides support for local people living with the condition by delivering physical activity projects to help ease and manage their symptoms. An indoor walking football session takes place every Tuesday, followed by a gentle movement and stretching session on Friday, both of which are run by fully trained Community Trust staff.

Fairhurst Buckley, who has been at the centre of commercial and industrial property services in Stockport for over 20 years, is delighted for the business to be getting behind such a great initiative as Dave Buckley, Director and head of agency, explained:
“As a business rooted in Stockport, we are passionate about connecting with both our business community and with our local charities sector. Each year, the team at Fairhurst Buckley selects a local charity to be our ‘charity of the year’. As supporters of Stockport County FC and having been introduced to Stockport County’s Community Trust, we were delighted to be given the opportunity to sponsor their Parkinson’s Wellbeing Programme.
“I’ve been lucky enough to join in a walking football session and have seen first-hand how much the players value their time on the pitch and how much they all enjoy the chance to be themselves. I have a feeling that one season may not be enough for us!”
