A new sponsorship deal is set to make a big difference to two much-loved community football teams.

The support will provide a full set of new kits for the Levvy Ladies walking football team, as well as new jackets for the Comets, a remarkable group of young players with a wide range of disabilities who continue to inspire everyone involved with their commitment and enthusiasm for the game.

The sponsorship has been generously provided by Protec, a Wisbech-based company owned by Alex Neal, who is widely known in the area for his outstanding community spirit and ongoing support for local causes.

Alex has long been recognised as someone who consistently goes above and beyond to help others, whether through fundraising efforts or hands-on involvement in community initiatives.

Among his many recent acts of generosity, Alex and Protec have donated around 100 Easter eggs to local children, bringing joy to families across the community.

He has also previously played a key role in organising and supporting the village Santa Run, an event that has become a highlight of the festive calendar for many residents.

The support for both the Levvy Ladies and the Comets will ensure the teams can continue to represent their community with pride, while also feeling warm, included and well-equipped throughout the season.
