A unique 24-hour walking football fundraising event will begin on Wednesday 4 March, 9:30am, at Bradley Football Development Centre, Grimsby, bringing together players of all ages to raise vital funds for prostate cancer during Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.
Hosted by North East Lincolnshire–based charitable trust Lincs Inspire, the event invites individuals and teams to take part in a continuous 24-hour programme of walking football, with all proceeds going directly towards prostate cancer causes.
Participants can enter as part of a 30-minute time slot as individual players or teams (7 to 10 players).
The community-focused event is open to players of all abilities and ages. Walking football is designed to be accessible, making it an ideal way to encourage participation while supporting an important cause that affects thousands of men and families each year.

Ben Frary, sports and health improvement coordinator, Lincs Inspire, said: “This one-of-a-kind event has never been hosted before in the area. We hope it will become a landmark community fundraiser, bringing people together through sport while raising awareness of prostate cancer and the importance of early detection.”
Martin Garfitt, Prostate Cancer Lincs and Humber, said: “We are really pleased to be invited to the 24 hour walking football event organised by Lincs Inspire in aid of Prostate Cancer UK. We welcome the opportunity to raise the awareness of prostate cancer and the long-term effects it can have on not only the patient but their partners, family and friends.”
