The Global Walking Football Alliance organises international competition between nations, to a standard that football can trust.
The Global Walking Football Alliance exists to connect those nations and give them world competition that is run properly, fairly and in the open. We believe walking football is football, and that its international game belongs within the established structures of football, not apart from them.
About the Global Walking Football Alliance (GWFA)
The Global WFA exists to:
• Organise world competition
• Connect national programmes
• Work alongside football’s authorities
GWFA is one of several walking football alliances. All of them adopt the same founding charter, word for word.
The Global Walking Football Alliance is being founded by the nations that joined at the start. Every member, founding or not, has the same single vote;

- Saudi Arabia
- Rwanda
Sister organisation, the European Walking Football Alliance, stages its first event, the European Championship, in Spain in November 2026. GWFA’s world competition calendar will be announced in due course.
