More than 125 goals were scored as over 70 players came together at Shoeburyness High School for a twelve-hour Walking Football tournament in support of Prostate Cancer UK, with the final fundraising total expected to be close to £5,000.
Organised by the Extra Time Walking Football Charity, the tournament ran continuously from 9:00am until 9:00pm at the Southend East Community Academy Trust (SECAT) Community Football Pitches. At least nine established teams from across the Southend area participated, alongside individuals who signed-up to support the cause.

The tournament was played in very warm conditions, but it proved popular with players and supporters throughout the day. Organisers thanked the SECAT Community Football Pitches for providing the facilities and staff free of charge, as well as the local businesses and individuals who donated refreshments, raffle prizes and other support.
