On 26th July Harborough Hornets is staging a 12-hour Walking Football event at Harborough FC – running from 8am to 8pm – in aid of Prostate Cancer UK.
Aside from competitive walking football across all ages from 50 upwards the day is packed full of fun and challenges for the family – with the highlight being a celebrities [ from the worlds of football and rugby ] team managed by Matt Elliott vs a Kick Out Cancer team comprising of cancer survivors. The celebrity shirts will be signed after the match [which will run from 12.45 to 1.30 pm] and auctioned.
HFM are bringing along their stage which will feature four local bands between 11am and 3pm pausing only for the centrepiece match.
A tombola with in excess of £1500 of prizes will take place through the day until the limited number of tickets are sold.
We have a silent auction with 4 special prizes including a Harborough Town FC season ticket and a champagne breakfast with a local successful racehorse trainer including watching the horses on the gallops.
Fun games and games of skill based on various sports can be played throughout the day
Plenty of food and refreshments are available
So please come along, have a great day mingling with well-known personalities and learning more about prostate cancer and of course the benefits of walking football. We hope that this will inspire many visitors to want to start to play the game.

8am – 9.45am Harborough Community football
10am – 12.30pm Over 50’s Walking Football Competition – 6 teams including England
12.45pm – 1.45pm CELEBRITIES v KICK IT OUT CANCER walking football match
1.55pm – 7pm Over 60’s Walking Football competition – 12 teams
7.15pm – 8pm Harborough Community Football
