Stratford Town Football Club will host the Masters Walking Football World Cup next year as part of a new 10-year partnership with World Masters Walking Football.
The tournament will take place at the Arden Garages Stadium from May 6-9, 2027, with organisers expecting around 100 teams from 55 countries to compete across 12 pitches.
Entry for spectators will be free, while matches will also be streamed live to audiences around the world.
The event is expected to be the largest walking football tournament ever staged and marks the start of a long-term agreement that will see Stratford become a regular host venue for international competitions.
The club will provide the stadium, facilities and staff, while working to secure sponsorship and attract high-profile names from the game.
England Masters Walking Football will bring its experience of running international tournaments and its network of teams and players.
