A hat-trick of assists from Paul Marsh helped Stratford Town secure a convincing 3-0 victory over Warwickshire neighbours Alcester Town and continue their excellent start to life in the Worcestershire Walking Football League.
The win was Stratford’s third consecutive league victory, maintaining the momentum from an impressive opening to the season.
Simon Plank opened the scoring midway through the first half, finishing well to give Stratford a deserved 1-0 lead at the break.
Stratford continued to play with patience and control after the restart, and midway through the second half Paul Clarke doubled the advantage following an excellent team move.

Plank then completed the scoring with a cleverly taken quick free-kick and a superb finish that caught Alcester by surprise.
It capped an outstanding afternoon for Simon, who not only scored twice but also delivered a complete performance and was deservedly named player of the match.
Club chairman Paul Clarke said: “A special mention also goes to Paul Marsh, who created all three goals with a brilliant hat-trick of assists.
“It was another strong team performance, another clean sheet and another three points on the board. That’s three games and three wins – a fantastic start to league football.”
