Romford Over 60s celebrated the club’s 10th anniversary in style by securing the Essex Walking Football League First Division title at Billericay FC.
Only two points separated the top four going into the final round of fixtures, leaving everything to play for.
Romford’s squad of Neil Clements, Sean Mallett, Mick Harris, Dave Snook, Gary Waller, Dave King, Pete Henley and Dave Willis began with a tense clash against title rivals Bexley.
Henley scored the only goal of the game to earn Romford a crucial three points before they followed that victory with a 2-0 success against Chelmsford City.
Henley was on target again, with King also finding the net.
