Ramsgate’s 60 + walking football team have clinched the county title following a tournament in Maidstone.
Ten teams took part in the event. They were split into two groups, and played each team in their group to determine who would progress onto the knockout stages of the tournament.
The top two teams from each group progressed to the semi-final, with the winner of each group playing the runner-up of the other group. Ramsgate (8 points) and Maidstone United (10 points) topped their respective groups, emerging as two of the favourites going into the knockout stage of the tournament.
With just four teams left in the competition, Ramsgate came up against Tonbridge Totterers, and Maidstone United faced off against Margate.
