On a hot Sunday 5th July fifteen squads arrived at Little Common Recreation Ground to take part in the OBs Decennial Event at Little Common. Seven Over 60 years of age and eight Over 50 years teams from the Tonbridge area (The Angels and the Insulators), Hastings United WFC, Bexley, Bognor, Eastbourne and the OBs themselves fielding three squads. And last but not least Coastal Corinthians who made the long trip down from Suffolk. A big thanks to this club for this marvellous effort.

After four hours of fun and sun the Insulators ran out the winners of the Over 50s League with Tonbridge winning the Over 60s League. It was certainly a hot and sunny afternoon but the matches were all played in a great spirit with a touch of competitiveness that is the hallmark of walking football that is designed for the men Over 50 years and women Over 40 years.

The clubs committee members viz: Mick Davies, Jesse Birdsall, Howard Whitelaw, Bryan Fisher and Dave Fricker put a great deal of time and effort in getting the event up and running so thanks to them and other club members who helped on the day. Special thanks to Gaby and Julia who ran and organised the tournament app to keep the game situation status well under control for all to see in the clubhouse.

Thanks to Little Common F.C. For the provision of the club house and bar on the day plus the hot dog barbecue that went down very well.
