Ardencaple FC’s lead at the top of the Walking Football Scotland men’s over-60 West Championship was narrowed to just a single point following the latest round of fixtures at the weekend.
The matches were played once again at Toryglen on Friday, September 4, with Caple’s four games yielding seven points.
They began with a 2-0 defeat by second-placed Saint Anthony’s – Whites before recovering to beat Falkirk Foundation 4-2 in their second match of the day.
A 2-2 draw with Drumchapel United followed, before a 5-0 victory over Castlemilk CFT completed their schedule on a positive note.
Ardencaple remain top on 38 points, with 12 wins from their 16 matches so far and the final round of fixtures still to come.
Saint Anthony’s – Whites are now within touching distance, having applied pressure at precisely the right stage of the campaign.
The latest meeting leaves everything unresolved, with both sides still capable of finishing as champions and gaining promotion to the Premiership next season.
