Weekly walking football sessions launch in Maryport

A weekly walking football session is being launched to help adults stay active and connect with others.

The sessions are open to anyone aged 18 and over and take place at Gosforth Playing Field on the A596 in Maryport, starting at 11am from September 17.

The sessions are launched by Always Another Way, a community interest company aiming to help people through local community projects and show people there is "always another way." A spokesperson for the company said: "Whether you’re new to the game or getting back into it, come along and give it a try."

Organisers describe it as a chance to stay active, meet new people, and improve your wellbeing in a friendly and supportive environment.

The sessions are launched by Always Another Way, a community interest company aiming to help people through local community projects and show people there is “always another way.”
