Walking Football Scotland (WFS) is delighted to confirm that, following careful and thorough discussions, we have accepted the invitation to participate in the Walking Football Euro Cup in Nyon, Switzerland on 25th June.

This exciting opportunity has been made possible in partnership with the Scottish Football Association and Scottish Para-Football, and we are proud to be part of this event, which is being fully organised by UEFA.

Importantly, this represents a significant milestone for the game in Scotland and a first step towards officially recognised international Walking Football. It is an exciting moment for all involved and reflects the continued growth and development of the sport.

We are also incredibly excited to join seven other FA-approved national teams, coming together for what promises to be a true festival celebration of Walking Football on the European stage.

A squad of nine players comprising a minimum of four men, four women, and a goalkeeper will have the honour of representing Scotland for the first time at an international Walking Football event.

Due to the tight timescales involved, the player selection process is necessarily condensed. We are extremely grateful to our Regional Managers across the country for their swift support in submitting nominations from their WFS regional squads for consideration.

A squad of nine players comprising a minimum of four men, four women, and a goalkeeper will have the honour of representing Scotland for the first time at an international Walking Football event.

We would like to place on record our sincere thanks to UEFA, the Scottish Football Association, and Scottish Para-Football for their continued support in helping make this opportunity possible.

We extend our sincere thanks to our Regional Managers and League Coordinators for their efforts in nominating players from across the country. The strength and depth of nominations made selection an incredibly difficult process, and we are grateful for the commitment shown across all regions.

We are delighted to congratulate the players selected, who will now go on to represent Scotland at the Walking Football Euro Cup, organised by UEFA, taking place on 25th June in Nyon, Switzerland.

This represents a major milestone not only for Walking Football Scotland, but for the continued growth of international Walking Football. We look forward to working closely alongside our national associations and partners across Europe as the game continues to develop at this level.
