You’ve played in the past and now you think you’re too old for football? Or you’ve never played and would like to try? Have you thought about walking football? If so, there is a local club for you – Harlow Town Pirates.
What is walking football? It’s a 6-a-side game played on a bit less than a quarter of a full-size football pitch, with smaller goals and no running, heading or player contact allowed.
Who can play? Sessions are open to Men 50+ and Women of all ages.
Where can you play? The Pirates have sessions on Mondays 17.00-18.30 and Fridays 10.00-12.00 at Harlow Town Football Club in The Pinnacles open to all.
What are the benefits for you? The Club welcomes players of all abilities in an inclusive, friendly atmosphere and you’re sure to have fun and make new friends. It’s also great exercise without the need to run and can lead to physical and mental benefits for all.
Where can you find out more? If you’re coming to the Harlow Town Show in the Town Park on 29-30 August, just come along to the Community Tent and talk to some of the players. If you can’t get to the Show look at the Club’s web site https://www.harlowtownpirates.org.uk or Facebook page
