A local walking football club celebrated its 10th anniversary with a special tournament involving teams from Wrexham, Chester, and Anglesey.
Coedpoeth Walking Football Club, a small club formed in 2016, hosted the event at Pen Y Cae FC, featuring two men’s and two women’s teams.
Club chairman Dave Donaghy expressed his delight at the day, stating it was “a very special event, and a lot of fun.”
The tournament was also attended by Arthur Evans, whose idea it was to start a walking football group.
The men’s competition was bagged by Wrexham WFC, while Coedpoeth Dragonesses Blue emerged victorious in the women’s tournament.
The club, which began as a health and social initiative for men over 50, continues to thrive.
