Celebrating 35 years of Women’s football at Manchester City, in the words of those who were there from the beginning.
With five promotions, not to mention a cup double in 2000, Manchester City Ladies enjoyed plenty of success before the professionalisation of the side in 2014.
The kits, pitches and facilities might seem like a world away by today’s standards, but those bonds remain just as strong as they were over three decades ago for many of the players.
Indeed, the likes of Gail Redston, Lesley Wright and Anita Clarke are just a few of those who now play Walking Football team, a joint venture between the Club and CITC.
