Menopause: Walking football helping female players cope
Walking football can help players with the effects of the menopause, says ex-Wales captain Mandy Gornicki.
The members of Merthyr Town Walking Football Club are all aged 40 or over.
“We are all either going through, been through or are gonna go through that big thing which is called the menopause,” says Mandy.
“We discuss the hot flushes. We discuss the night sweats. And I think as a group of women we can do that, because we are all together.”
