Because the entries for this year’s Prostate Cancer UK WFLA League Champions Cup have increased by 44%, which means that there needs to be regional rounds to ascertain which SIX teams for each age category go forward to the Grand Finals on Sunday 27th July 2025 at Coleshill Town FC.
With increased costs for venue hire, referees, insurance, St John’s Ambulance service, trophies etc, the cost per team for a two-day event would have been prohibitive so we would have increased the entry fee from 2024. But this year there will no entry fee to the finals for this cup competition thanks to our sponsorship and partnership with Prostate Cancer UK.

We have tried our best to arrange these fixtures to minimise extensive travelling for teams, unfortunately with a competition of this nature it must involve some travelling.
As in previous years, we rely on local volunteers to organise these regional one-day events. Could any volunteers please advise Bill Murney via email at billmurney@talktalk.net their willingness to arrange and host these regional fixtures, obviously with the agreement of the other competing teams. Costs of venue hire and referees to be divided between the competing teams.
All fixtures to be completed on or before Sunday 29th June 2025, and all results to Bill Murney within 24 hours of the fixtures being played. The winning teams will be informed as soon thereafter.

Because entries for this year’s Breast Cancer UK WFLA Inter League Cup have increased by 34%, which means that the WFLA need to play regional rounds to ascertain which SIX teams for each age category go forward to the Grand Finals on Sunday 15th June 2025 at Coleshill Town FC.
With increased costs for venue hire, referees, insurance, St John’s Ambulance service, trophies etc, the cost per team for a two-day event was prohibitive. We also took into consideration the fact that the walking football calendar was already vastly overcrowded hence the WFLA decided to put our National Cup competition on hold for 2025.
