We are sorry for the delay in getting affiliation live this year, but it was out of our control as we had to deal with the insurance company that provides the PA cover for the players.
We have had to increase the cost of affiliation
We have seen a doubling of the PA insurance premium as a result of both market conditions and our 2023 claims experience. This is regrettable, but the insurance cover is excellent and far better than that offered by the FA ( for instance, our cover is club based not team based as with the FA cover).
We have decided to continue including this important benefit within our annual affiliation fee. However, we have had to pass on some of this increase to the clubs. Consequently, the affiliation fee is rising to £75 per club, to include PA cover for all registered players.
The increase is purely to cover the cost of the new insurance policy.
