Walking Sports with Whittlesea “University of the 3rd Age”
We offer courses and activities in a wide range of interest areas. To enrol in a course or activity, you must be a member. Generally, classes run for about 2 hours each and members can enrol in any number of programs.
Social Exercise and Walking Football Mondays 10am – 12pm Football YMCA Leisure City $2 per week
This is a mixed activity where men and women of all abilities are welcome to come and try social exercise and walking football. Whittlesea U3A is working with The City of Whittlesea LEAP program to provide an easy and slow-paced exercise program with no running required.

Walking Football Gentlemen Thursdays 11am – 12.30pm YMCA Leisure City $2 per week
Walking Football is a small sided, no contact, no running, modified version of soccer. It is suitable for all age groups over 50 and is inclusive of gender, ability and ethnicity. It is played in a safe, fun and social environment. There are many benefits of Walking Football including improved fitness, mobility and mental health.

Walking Netball Thursdays 11am – 12.30pm YMCA Leisure City
Walking Netball is a modified version of the traditional game that is fully inclusive allowing anyone to participate regardless of their age, fitness level, ability or previous netball experience. As the name implies, Walking Netball is a slower version of netball performed at a walking pace. Walking Netball has a strong emphasis on getting people participating in an enjoyable, safe environment rather than focusing on the competitive aspect.

This activity is suitable for all abilities – young, old, people with walkers etc. so why not go and have a go. Numbers are limited and as it is open to other groups I would suggest you record your interest as soon as possible.
