Profile
Olympia’28 started Walking Football at the end of March 2023. With this, the association also wants to offer football practice to people over 55. In addition to the physical benefits with regard to fitness, vitality and self-reliance, a weekly football moment is of course also just a nice social affair.
Walking Football takes place through a weekly training moment on Wednesday morning. Each training starts with a cup of coffee which is ready from 9:30 am. The training will start at 10:00. A training lasts an hour and consists of good warm-up, exercises and of course a party game. After the training, participants can finish with a cup of coffee.
Main rules are: do not run, ball no higher than hip height, do not make slings and do not enter into duels. Of course, there is played on a smaller field. No pre-registration for the training is required.
Fun is paramount in every workout. Walking Football is an accessible way of sports and exercise and certainly not only for former football players. People who have never played football are also very welcome!
Participation is free this first season as is the coffee. If you want to watch alone and drink coffee first, you are also welcome. Training courses are given and supervised by Patrick Reuvekamp – for questions you can contact Patrick by e-mail.
