Parkinson’s Walking Football gives adults who have Parkinson’s disease or other neurological diseases the chance to benefit from free weekly football, followed by a friendly and supportive social session.
The initiative helps provide a friendly support group for its participants and to give them an outlet from day-to-day stresses, as well as being a great way to stay physically healthy and fit through football.
Running alongside Team Talk, the Foundation’s Walking Football session with a focus on mental health, each weekly session with include 60 minutes of football followed by 30 minutes of social interaction, with refreshments provided.
This programme is generously funded by EFL in the Community in collaboration with Parkinson’s UK.
Thursdays 12 -1.30pm The Nest – Norfolk’s Community Hub, NR10 3AQ
A 60-minute football session followed by 30 mins of social interaction, with refreshments provided. Sessions will also be supported by an on call mental health first aider.
