Profile
The Leeds United Foundation are now offering two Walking Football sessions a week for the Leeds community to get involved in.
The two weekly sessions offer participants the opportunity to take part in a slow-paced version of the game we all love, which is perfect for those who may not be able to do anything up-tempo, whether it’s due to your fitness levels, injuries or other health conditions.
There are a number of benefits for joining our Walking Football sessions, including:
– Reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease and stroke
– Improved blood pressure
– Building strength and endurance
– Reduce levels of stress
– Increased fitness levels
– Making new friends with likeminded people
It is just £5 per session to participate, and we welcome anyone to come along and get involved. The two sessions currently running are:
• Monday, 7.30pm to 8.30pm at Leeds Grammar School (LS17 8GS)
• Friday, 11.30am to 12.30pm at Limewood Approach (LS14 1NH)
