Gåfotboll i Gävle som bedrivs i samarbete mellan 2Birches Walking Football Gävle och Gefle IF Fotboll!
Här är vår historia:
År 2020 startade bröderna Kent & Bernt Björk aktiviteten gåfotboll på Strömvallen i Gävle med stöd från Strömvallen fotboll och efter ett år anslöt sig även Gefle IF fotboll (inom ramen för föreningens sociala hållbarhetsprogram som går under namnet Ett Bättre Gävle).
Från början dök endast en handfull spelare upp men 3 år senare är gåfotbollen väl etablerad och vanligtvis kommer numera 20 till 25 deltagare vid varje tillfälle. Lördagen den 30:e september 2023 arrangerades den första inofficiella gåfotbollsturneringen i Gästrikland med 35 aktiva spelare och deltagande av de inbjudna gästerna i GIF Sundsvalls gåfotbollslag.
Syftet med verksamheten är att erbjuda fysisk rörelse och social samvaro till människor i alla åldrar oavsett tidigare erfarenhet av fotbollsspelande.

Walking football in Gävle is an activity in cooperation with 2Birches Walking Football Gefle & Gefle IF Fotboll.
This is our story:
In 2020, the brothers Kent & Bernt Björk (Birch) started the walking football activity at Strömvallen in Gävle with support from Strömvallen football and a year later joined by Gefle IF football (within the clubs social sustainability program which goes by the name of Ett Bättre Gävle).
In the beginning only a handful of players showed up but 3 years later walking football is well established and usually now 15 to 20 participants come on each occasion. On Saturday, September 30th, 2023, the first unofficial walking football tournament in Gästrikland was arranged with 35 active players and the participation of the invited guests in GIF Sundsvall’s walking soccer team.
The purpose of the Walking football activity is to offer physical movement and social togetherness to people of all ages, regardless of previous experience of playing football.
