Saints Walking Football topped the Tesco Stronger Starts vote in the Kirkcudbright store.
Tesco Kirkcudbright community champion Louise Macleod recently paid a visit to a walking football session St Mary’s Park to present the cheque to Saints chairman Ian McIntyre and walking football organiser Craig Fabian.

Craig said: “We have an excellent relationship with the team at Tesco who have supported several of our events already. We’re delighted to receive the Stronger Starts grant, which will pay for footballs, training equipment and national competition entry fees for our whole season.”
