A team representing South Wales and a team representing North Wales took part in the Glasgowlife Over 65s walking football tournament at the excellent Toryglen Centre (next to Hampden Park) on 29 March.
Both teams came third in their groups so just missed qualifying for the quarter finals. But all had an enjoyable time in a well organised competition; even though all the Welsh players had the challenge of adapting to different rules such as no more than three touches; and a penalty being awarded after three team running offences or after contact in the final third.
