VIDEO: Peoples Ford Parkinson’s Walking Football Festival – the very first in Scotland

4 Dec 2023 1 min read No comments Events

Hosted by Glasgow Life & proudly sponsored by Peoples Ford, the Peoples Parkinson’s Walking Football Festival was the very first Parkinson’s Walking Football Festival in Scotland. The festival was a brilliant success and we’re proud to have been the official sponsors. Bringing our community together to raise awareness of the benefits of physical activity, like walking football, for those who living with the Parkinson’s condition was what the festival was all about and we’re delighted that everyone, from team players to supporters could join us on the day.

On the day, 8 teams from across the UK came together at Toryglen, Glasgow and competed for the winning title. The stands were full of the greatest (and loudest!) supporters, including special guests, Tom Boyd, Murdo Macleod, Alan Rough and Izzy Christiansen. All of who spoke to our team on camera on why being part of the very first Parkinson’s Walking Football Festival was important to them.

Community spirit, camaraderie and lots of laughs were on show all day long as you’ll see from our video. Again, a massive thank you to every one who joined us.
