If you feel walking football is not for you read a quote from Steve Brown our over 50s manager after he took up the sport “I was like most VETS in thinking walking football wasn’t for me .
But after giving up playing because of niggling injuries, I missed the game I loved playing for the last 30 years. Playing for CCWf club changed my whole perception of the game. Its great for fitness, it uses your skills and football knowhow and a real social sport. And if you feel up to it we have a selection of players playing competitively in the Essex walking football league.
We now have quite a few ex vets who have recently joined and absolutely love it. So come along and join us and play for the future, we can all re live those 30 years ahead of us !”
Here is our VETS video with an insight to what you can experience when you join us for a Thursday night walking football session. You can share the video with all of your younger 50 plus contacts.
Our new summer venue is Chelmer Valley High School, Broomfield, CM1 7ER training session 8 -9 pm on Thursday evening, meet at 7.45pm by the pitch This is geared towards the younger set who can’t play during the day.
