Mr Podcast whilst having a cold, still manages to make it to the Aldersley Women’s Over 55s Walking Football Festival and interview the following 11 players, managers & fans:

1. Julia Wells from Hartshill Strollers
2. Walking Football fan Shelby
3. Goalkeeper manager & Chairwoman Sandy from Arden Forest
4. Mary Sanders from Northampton Town Women’s Walking Football Club
5. Fi Gardener, qualified ref and Northampton Town Women’s Walking Football Club
6. Julie from Hartshill Strollers after their first match
7. Kerry Murray from Arden Forest
8. Manager Bev from Birmingham Walking Football Club
9. Captain and manager Anne Fuller from Haslingden Ladies
10.  Jaz who plays both Walking Football & Walking Hockey
11.  Sandra from Northampton Town Women’s Walking Football Club

This is not a club run event. It is an event run by two avid women walkers who want as many older women to be able to access and play the beautiful game of football.

The festival proved to be a fantastic opportunity for both existing club teams, individual players joining up to make All Star teams, and complete newbies to the sport, to enjoy an afternoon of Walking Football (even when the rain made it’s intermittent visits).
