PARINGDON Pirates Walking Football Over 70s team recently completed a highly successful first season in the Essex Walking Football League. Results in the final match of the season, saw Pirates snatch 2nd place out of 10 teams due to superior goal difference over Leyton Orient.
There is also a successful Pirates Women’s team, who in the first season of the Essex Women’s Walking Football League finished 2nd, out of 7 clubs, only missing out on the title on goal difference.
