Northern NSW Walking Football

The National Walking Football programs are run in partnership with Active Ageing Australia and Member Federations offering a social, small-sided and sustainable version of football specifically modified for older Australians.

Walking Football focuses on passing rather than speed/running; flexible with its formats and accessible to the community and prospective players and highlights the health, well-being and social benefits of regular football and exercise activities for older people.

Current terms sessions as follows;
• FEMALE ONLY – Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility Tuesdays 10:00am – 11:00am (Start Date: 18 July 2023)
• Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility Mondays 6:00pm – 7:00pm (Start date: 24 July 2023 – End date: 11 September 2023) Cost: $60
• Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility Tuesdays 10:00am – 11:00am (Start Date: 25 July 2023 – End Date: 12 September 2023) Cost: $60
• Kingsford Smith Park, Ballina Wednesday 6:00pm – 7:30pm (Start Date: 1 March 2023)
• Coffs Football Centre (Synthetics) Wednesdays 6:15pm – 7:15pm (Start Date: 1 March 2023)
• Yulong Oval, Kirrang Drive, Medowie Tuesday 6.30pm – 7.30pm (Start date: 25 July 2023 – End date: 19 September 2023) Cost: $30

Who is it for? Men and women. Aimed at ages 50+ but open to all. Anyone looking for slow-paced exercise.
