A new five-week Walking Football initiative has begun in the Dolmen Centre in Kilclooney.
The classes will run at 7:30pm on Thursdays at the Downstrands Family Resource Centre in the Dolmen Centre, Kilclooney, F94 DN83. These safe and fun 60-minute sessions will be delivered by a qualified walking football coach, with refreshments afterwards.
The classes, supported by Sport Ireland, are free to participants and are aimed at getting men over 50 more physically active.
Dolmen Centre Walking Football
Cllr Brian Carr welcomed the classes, posting: “It’s great fun and brilliant exercise for fit young people like myself. Last time I played, the age range was 50 to 84, so as I said, anyone can have a go. Time to give it another go again.”
