MEMBERS of Greenock Morton’s walking football team are preparing to push for European glory at a major tournament this week.
Participants in Morton in the Community’s walking football sessions are jetting out to Madrid today to compete against sides from across the continent.
The competition, which is being run by the European Football Development Network (EFDN), will see the Ton team face off against representatives from some of Europe’s top clubs, such as Benfica, Newcastle and Rangers.
The tournament is being hosted by La Liga club Getafe and is the fourth tournament Morton’s walking footballers have taken part in.
