2) Why did you first get involved with Walking Football?
Got fed up watching Jeremy Kyle.

One.
4) Describe the buzz you get having the opportunity to play a team sport again at your age?
Still playing 5 a side.
5) What one or two things do you currently do in your training sessions that you think are important to avoid injury?
I have a warm up routine.
5/10 minutes is enough.
6) Have you played competitive Walking Football, if so which tournaments?
Nothing major yet.
Steve Chitterden says he has been saving me for the Man City tournament in October.
7) Has your diet changed since you have started playing Walking Football? If so what is different?
No bacon butties for lunch Friday’s.
8) Do you feel fitter and healthier since you have started playing Walking Football and if so in which ways?
It’s part of my overall fitness programme.
9) Have you had any injuries playing and if so what were they?
Nothing in walking football.
In ‘normal’ football I’ve had broken leg, dislocated finger, pulled hamstring, Achilles strain, groin strain, so let’s keep it non contact.
10) Do you always have a club member present who has had first aid training at your games and training sessions?
Yes at Barnet fc
11) Has your social life changed since you started playing, and if so in what way?
Met some decent blokes.
Often sit next to them at Barnet games.
12) What are your best memories of playing Walking?
Best representing Barnet.
I’m Tottenham fan but have a soft spot for the Bees.
13) How else has playing Walking Football affected your life?
Some guy called Shaun Sherrick keeps texting me.
14) What do you like most about Walking football?
Fresh air, banter, and playing.

Nothing
16) What are your goals for the future when playing Walking Football?
To play as long as Sid Tobias ..so till 89.
17) What advice would you give to someone who would like to play but is nervous about approaching a club or attending a Walking Football session for the first time?
Have a brandy, and go on Nick and Tom Moran on your side.
18) What do your friends and family think about you playing a sport again at your age?
They are astonished.
