Insurance database
If you are a player at a WFA Affiliated club, you need to read and understand the following.
Personal Accident Insurance
All affiliated clubs have Personal Accident Insurance coverage for all players as part of affiliation with the WFA.
To be eligible for this cover, you MUST
- Play for an affiliated club
- Register on our player database
Registering as a player takes less than 30 seconds with a simple online form.
We do not publish the link to this form on our website; there is also no link in this email. Your club secretary, manager, or whoever is responsible for WFA Affiliation will have that link.
Unregistered players who attempt to claim on the insurance will be rejected.
Registering for the insurance database is not the same as registering/adding a player to a cup squad; more information is below.
The insurance isn’t just for Clubs and players entering the National Cup. Details of the cover can be found here: https://thewfa.co.uk/player-insurance/
Registering for a cup squad
Players in a National Cup squad must be on the squad list and the insurance database. There are two separate things, so don’t confuse the two.
Hopefully, this is all now clear to all and will prevent us from having to reject claims.
If you do have any questions not answered by this email or by visiting the insurance page on our website, please contact memberships@thewfa.co.uk
