Many of you will already be aware that AXA, in partnership with the Walking Football Association (WFA), has been supporting and sponsoring the women’s game for over three years.

During this time, AXA has played a huge part in supporting the growth and development of women’s walking football, sponsoring competitions including the Women’s National Cup, the Women’s Super League, and many other walking football tournaments and initiatives including start up grants for new clubs.

AXA are the shirt sponsor for our women’s walking football,, Women’s National Teams, including our Kicking Cancer and Hearing Impairment and Deaf Teams. Their commitment to our game has helped raise the profile of women’s walking football and create more opportunities for women to play, compete, build friendships and enjoy the many benefits our sport brings. On Wednesday, our Walking Footballers took part in the annual Eastbourne tournament. We were delighted when our hosts agreed to hold a minute’s applause for club legend Steve Churcher and we thank them for this. This is always a challenging tournament with the best of Sussex teams attending and this year proved to be no different. It was an over 50s tournament but as usual due to work commitments we sent in the main a 60s and 65 team to represent our club, with a few of our younger players.
