DEVON Women’s Walking Football League held their penultimate round of fixtures in Exeter on Sunday, March 2.
In the glorious afternoon sunshine, the three Dawlish teams played out an exciting and competitive series of games.
The club’s over-40s team, the Cygnets, are holding their own comfortably in League 1. Plymouth Argyle seem to have the league wrapped up already, with a strong lead of nearly 20 points at the top. The Cygnets started the day in second place.
They accounted themselves well, with a win, two draws and two losses- the defeats were significant as they came against Argyle and closest rivals Taunton and District (TADs). This sees TADs move ahead of Cygnets by four points…
