The WFA are delighted to announce Mark Elanaugh as Assistant Manager of the Men’s Over 50’s. Mark is the first one to join Manager David Castle’s Management and Coaching team. Mark, a successful businessman and entrepreneur, has been involved in coaching and managing teams for many years and after discovering walking football in 2016 where he enjoyed success at Chelmsford City as Manager of the Over 50’s team. He has also Managed a superbly run WFA South East Regional Squad which has produced many current and past England players. As a player he has had success with the South East regional 60’s team winning the Super League in 2019 and 2022.
New Manager David Castle said “Im delighted to welcome Mark to the England set up. He has created something pretty special at regional level and I’m sure we can replicate some of that it our next chapter, we’ve got some difficult fixtures and tournaments ahead and his experience I’m sure will prove invaluable.”
We are delighted to welcome Marcus Brown from Bolton Arena to the England Over 50 s Management Team.
‘My walking football journey began in 2015 with the formation of a recreation session which over time, we’ve developed (at Bolton Arena) into a robust programme with over six sessions per week, numerous league teams and player registration at 138. I also manage the WFA Northwest O50’s squad and recently undertook the WFA referee Assessors course. It will be a pleasure to join David’s England management team both to work with the squad as well as create opportunities for players to progress from the regional set up towards international recognition.’
