A week-long fitness event, specifically aimed at those over the age of 45, is taking place later this month at leisure centres across Solihull.
The free community event, called ‘Active for Life’, will invite over 45s to take part in a range of fun, healthy activities from Monday 20th May until Sunday 26th May.
Now in its twelfth year, the event is hosted by leading leisure operator Everyone Active in partnership with Solihull Council, with the goal of empowering older people to enjoy exercise and find new ways to stay active.
All sessions taking place throughout the week have been adapted and designed to suit the demographic, with activities available for a range of different abilities and interests.
These include tai chi, pickleball and badminton, along with access to gym and swim throughout the week. A variety of walking sports will be on offer too, from netball to tennis, to offer a lower impact, slower paced activity…
