FIWFA ANNOUNCES TEAM SPAIN AS HOSTS FOR WORLD NATIONS CUP IN ALICANTE OCTOBER 2025
Absolutely delighted to receive this news yesterday from the CEO & founder of the FIWFA, Mr Paul Carr. We thank him and the organisation for their faith in Team Spain to deliver this prestigious event and we embrace the challenge.
This announcement is a reward to the people that have contributed towards our application to host the event and in particular Mr Mark Kavanagh, our 50+ Manager. Special thanks go out to all the players that have represented Team Spain in the last year, you are pioneers on the International Walking Football stage.
Pioneers of the sport in general and those who have made significant contributions towards the growth of the game in Spain which have enabled Team Spain to even have an opportunity to apply for an event of this size include Ronnie Waugh, Martin Teague, Steve Lynton, Gray Salt & Sarah Baker amongst others. We also thank all those clubs that make up the hugely popular and competitive leagues on the Costa Del Sol and Costa Blanca for supporting Team Spain and supplying the players.
