Spain will be hosts to a Walking Football World Cup, which is also known as the World Nations Cup (WNC), which will take place over two weeks. As it currently stands, there will be one hundred and nine teams, fifty-two nations and six age categories.
This World Cup will be hosted by ex-Walsall player, Mark Kavanagh, who originally went to Spain to retire and play golf but was soon offered a role in coaching walking football for the nations league after being turned down to play.
He will be accompanied by ex-Brentford academy coach and ex-QPR scout, Mark Coleman, who made a post back in September last year claiming it will be ‘The biggest global walking football event to ever be staged.’

The first week will be the men’s over 50s and 70s and the women’s over 40s and will commence from the week beginning of the 20th of October.
