An East Kilbride walking football club scored some new fans with a generous £500 donation to Kilbryde Hospice.
EK Gerihatricks have 69 members and play three times a week at the Alistair McCoist Centre in the town.
Members ages all range between 60-82 and there are four active members aged over 80.

Committee chair Frank Parker said: “At this year’s annual Christmas dance on Friday, December 5, held at the British Legion hall in the Village, EK, we encouraged our members and partners to contribute to our raffle, £5 a ticket with the proceeds going towards our local Kilbryde Hospice.”

Just over 100 people attended the event and in total, the club raised £500, and members later arranged to hand the cheque over to the hospice, which was gratefully received.
