A ladies’ walking football club is looking for new players to join their weekly sessions.
The Cheddar Ladies Walking Football Club have a weekly session on Tuesdays on the Astro turf pitches at the Kings of Wessex Leisure Centre.
A spokesperson for the club said that people do not have to be existing footballers to join, but they do need to have “enthusiasm, a good sense of fun and a desire to have a great night out every week.”
The club said: “We currently have around 20 to 30 regular players, but need some more in order to make the sessions even more enjoyable and to make sure that we have enough for any matches, friendly or competitive, that we may play.”

The club played eight games in the heat in a recent round of the Somerset FA over-35s Walking Football League, but still played their weekly session two days later.
Walking football is not only good for physical health, but it provides emotional health benefits too.
People who wish to join the club can turn up at the Kings of Wessex Leisure Centre on a Tuesday evening at 7pm.
The spokesperson added: “If you are in any doubt, just ask any of the current players as to why they do it.”
