Table of Contents
The inaugural Calcutta Trophy was played at the Castle Vale Stadium on the 20th September 2025 between England Walking Football and Scottish Thistles over 40s, 50s & 60s age groups bringing the age old rivalry between Scotland and England to the world of women’s Walking Football.
This first-of-its-kind occasion celebrates the skill, passion and sportswomanship of both nations while laying the foundations for a new tradition. The Calcutta Trophy is set to become an annual highlight in the Walking Football calendar, with Scotland preparing to host the return leg in October 2026.
