How about empowering intergenerational friendships through football?
Since its inception in 2011 by John Croot, walking football has become increasingly popular due to its health and social benefits. A survey by the WFA (Walking Football Association) found over 70% play for social interaction.
So why not use game as the conduit for friendship?
With that in mind, BuddyHub created an intergenerational walking football tournament to unify people from different ages in a fun activity.
The tournament saw six games between four teams; The Striders, Walkaholics United, Kyle Walker’s FC and The Red Hot Chilli Steppers with the latter emerging as deserving champions at the Arsenal Hub.
