Bridgwater walking football festival in aid of Parkinson’s

A Bridgwater resident suffering from Parkinson’s has organised a charity walking football festival in June.

Diagnosed in 2019, 60-year-old Caroline Pike is determined to help raise funds for Parkinson’s UK and Young Somerset.

The event, coinciding with the fanfare surrounding Euro 2024, occurs on Sunday, June 30, where three teams from each charity will compete for a trophy…

The festival, hosted at Northgate Primary School from midday to 4pm, promises many other family-friendly activities, including face painting and bean bag racing.

The proceeds will be equally divided between both charities.

This is going to be a fabulous event a joint collaboration between Parkinson’s Taunton Walking Football and Young Somerset raising money for PUK and Young Somerset. Six teams competing for a unique trophy and plenty of family fun activities on offer including The Drum Bus - UK.
