Our walking sports sessions at Boroondara Sports Complex and Ashburton Pool and Recreation Centre offer opportunities for exercise, social interaction, and the promotion of physical and mental well-being. These programs provide inclusive environments for individuals to engage in physical activity and enjoy the benefits of an active lifestyle.
Walking Football at Boroondara Sports Complex Mondays 10:00am – 11:00am
Walking Football is a modified version of the game suitable for all levels of ability and fitness. It is designed for people who are returning to sport after a break or those who have never played before. The program aims to provide participants with physical and mental health benefits, social contentedness, and promote the benefits of ongoing physical activity.
Run in partnership with Active Ageing Australia, Football Victoria’s Walking Football program offers a social, small-sided version of football that allows players of all ages and abilities to enjoy the game in a safe and fun environment. The program specifically caters to individuals aged over 55 years, but is open to people of all ages.
