We have started a Walking football group at BWFC and we would like to invite people to come along and join. It is open to male and female players, ideally participants would be 40 + years old but younger people are welcome.
Rediscover the joys of the beautiful game with this modified version of football and will be tailored for all abilities. Each session will give you a chance to relive your youth and show off your skills, without needing to run around, leaving you eager and ready for your next session.
Walking football is ideal for helping players to stay fit and healthy, perhaps you might be recovering from an injury or surgery such as a knee or hip replacement or they may have diabetes or simply want to become more active, make some new friends and keep fit.
The sessions take place outdoors on the 5G pitch at Boreham Wood FC, on Tuesday evenings 7pm to 8pm at a cost of just £3 per player.
Players can wear comfortable warm clothing, including hats and gloves, but you must wear trainers or moulded stud boots, shin pads are advisable but not a must. Also make sure that you bring along a water bottle to keep hydrated.
