24th February 23-4 TVWFL Over 60s R4 of 4

Aylesbury United Over 60s closed the second phase of their brief history by winning the Thames Valley Walking Football Division One. It is the first time AUWFC has won a major League, so a nice milestone.

Their first phase was characterised by two things. A lack of players, sometimes playing with five players for the last match, and the absence of an established goalkeeper.

The second phase saw a gradual growth in the squad and having set up a 65s team last summer we are now ready for Phase 3 with our growing group of over 60s players.

Our team today was made up of all the guys who played this season along with the not yet fit Lawrence Shave and Mark Foster.
